How much does Vaping cost?

If you are on 20 cigs a day, a 10ml bottle a week usually does you when using a Mouth to Lung kit. Thats around £2.50. A coil should last you 2 to 3 bottles and they are around £3. That’s about £3.50 a week with us to have your 20 a day.

The kit we recommend to new starters costs just £25 and, while there are more expensive devices, even if the price was the same, the £25 one is better! You can order online but we feel like we have failed if we spend less than half an hour talking you through the process so please make your order over the phone. Remember: The kit is £25 and we would not recommend a more expensive one so this is not about selling. It is about giving you the best chance!

If you think about it, the wage bill for that conversation and the low profit margin means we loose money on that initial sale but we know that by providing an amazing service it guarantees our customers loyalty. You can also almost always speak with the same person every time. That is also the way we like it too. We will share our working hours with you and most customers prefer to deal with the same person every time.

How does an Ecig work?

An Ecig works by boiling a collection of liquids which optionally contain nicotine to duplicate the sensation of smoking. Once vapourised the vapour cools and condenses into the surrounding air as countless tiny floating droplets which produce the smoke you see. The nicotine is extracted from these droplets by your lungs and the flavouring is also detected by your taste buds.

If you was to look at cigarette smoke microscopically it would resemble an asteroid belt with blobs of nicotine stuck to it. Many of these miniature rocks will cling to the sides of the lungs and make them an ugly black colour. If you was to look at vapour under a microscope they would be clean and clear bubbles of Glycerol floating about with the nicotine held within.

What happens to the vapour which sticks to the lungs? Can you get pneumonia from it?

Every breath you take means lots of impurities enter your lungs. The vape is probably one of the most easily dealt with especially if you live in a city.

To keep your lungs clean your body automatically secretes a lining of mucus which collects things you inhale and tiny little arms called Cilia move the mucus towards your throat where it gets swallowed and passed to the stomach.

Any glycerol which remains in the lungs would join the mucus which your body secretes. This would then simply be swallowed.

What is direct lung and mouth to lung?

Direct lung inhales and mouth to lung inhales are two different ways of vaping…

With Direct Lung Vaping (DL vaping) you tend to find people using higher power kits with much larger clearomizers/tanks, what this does is allow the user to reach much higher wattage and produce a lot more vapour and flavour.

The difference with lung inhales is simply how you inhale the vapour during use. As you take a draw, the vapour is inhaled directly to the lungs just as you would have a deep intake of breath (or like inhaling gas and air for those that have used it!) When inhaling this way you take in a much higher volume during each drag which creates the vast amounts of vapour and incredible flavour, this is also the reason people drop their nicotine content to around 1-6 mg/ml to compensate for the increase of vapour being inhaled (any higher nicotine would likely make you cough/hurt your throat and would probably give you a huge nicotine rush!!)

Mouth To Lung vaping (MTL vaping) is the basic way people use electronic cigarettes and the most recommended way to start your experience. It is where you draw the vapour into your mouth, then inhale it into your lungs just as you would a cigarette. Mouth to lung kits are generally the pen style devices which run at a much lower power when compared to the lung inhale mods. With this style of vaping the users will usually start on 12-18 mg/ml nicotine based liquid, the reason for this is to compensate for the initial switch from cigarettes to electronic cigarettes. Not only is the higher nicotine concentration popular for first time users due to the ‘throat hit’ the nicotine gives, it’s used because the volume of vapour inhaled (a mouthful per drag, as opposed to filling both lungs per drag) gives you a similar nicotine content to the average cigarette.

To summarise; A direct lung inhale kit is for users who have been vaping for a while, started to drop their nicotine strength to single-digit figures and don’t desire a throat hit anymore. The mouth to lung kits are commonly used for first time vapers, to very closely simulate a real cigarette.

What is the difference between High VG eliquid and standard Eliquid?

Typically with e-liquids you will hear the terms “50/50” or “80/20” etc. This is a reference to the ratio of vegetable glycerine (VG) to the propylene glycol (PG) within the bottle of e-liquid.

The standard e-liquid ratio (for Mouth To Lung vaping) is usually around 50% to 60% VG (50/50 , 60/40) and will be quite watery in appearance. With this ratio the inhale will give a harsher throat hit and produce less vapour, this is the ideal ratio for beginners looking to use mouth to lung kits at around 12mg nicotine strength.

We tend to name e-liquids “High VG” (or HVG) when the ratio of VG exceeds 70% i.e. when the content is 70/30 or higher. The common strength for these liquids is 3mg and are designed for the Direct Lung Inhale kits. When the e-liquid has such a high content of VG the mixture will be an extremely smooth vape, with very little throat hit and have quite a thick consistency.

Is using an Ecig hard?

Using an Ecig should be no harder than pressing down one button during inhale and then releasing after use. Ecigs  have one special button designed to pass the electricity through the coil to heat up and vaporise the e-liquid within the device. Other types of devices may include  a couple of extra buttons to adjust the power being sent to the coils which is as simple as pressing the volume keys on your tv remote.

Can I vape around kids and in public?

There are currently no laws in England to state if you can or cannot vape around kids or in public, including bars and restaurants. Private venues have the rights to ban electronic cigarette smoking on their premises so its always best to check! But you’re not breaking any laws.

What is in your Eliquids?

Your Eliquid is made up of multiple ingredients, most commonly: propylene glycol (PG), glycerine (VG), nicotine, and flavourings. While the ingredients can vary, the liquid typically contains 95% propylene glycol and glycerine.

What is an E-liquid/Flavour?

An E-liquid or as some people refer to it as a flavour or E-Juice is the fluid that fuels the Electronic Cigarette. It is what provides the nicotine solution and the flavouring to your Electronic Cigarette. It creates the vapour in which you exhale that mimics the traditional smoke from analogue cigarettes.

What is the difference in nicotine strengths?

For direct lung vaping, 3mg is the most common strength. As your drags are longer and bigger in volume, the amount of nicotine your body absorbs is around the same as a drag of a cigarette.

0mg Nicotine: This means that there is no nicotine in your E-Liquid mixture.
Zero nicotine levels are usually ordered by people who have quit smoking but still have an oral fixation and use an electronic cigarette to satisfy it.

3mg Nicotine: Ideal for lung inhales, and usually has a High VG content. This is the lowest pre-made strength we offer. This is commonly the last level in “stepping” (gradually reducing your nicotine level, to wean yourself off it altogether)

6mg Nicotine: This content of nicotine is the lightest ‘standard liquid’ level offered. For people who wish to enjoy the smallest possible nicotine strength while still enjoying a full E-Cig experience.

12mg Nicotine: This is the middle of the road in terms of nicotine. 12mg/ml is a comfortable level for people who are addicted nicotine, but aren’t very heavy vapers. This is a good level for switching from cigarettes to E-cigs for the average (10-20 a day) smoker too.

18mg Nicotine: Most vapers who were former smokers of around 20+ per day enjoy this level because it delivers a strong hit of nicotine in each vape.

20mg Nicotine: This is on the high side, and the strongest nicotine strength legally available in accordance with the TPD Laws. It is commonly preferred by people who were formally heavy smokers (over a pack per day). It has a noticeably intense ‘throat hit’

What is an Ecig Battery?

An Ecig battery can come in many shapes and sizes but the purpose is always the same, to heat up your coil which is usually inside your tank to a temperature that allows you to vape happily. Batteries can be as simple as a pen shape that always lets out a standard voltage and gives you a basic vape. The bigger more powerful batteries are commonly referred to as a “mod” – where the voltage/wattage can be changed higher or lower depending on your preference of vapour and throat hit. These mod-type batteries are also adapted for use with tanks that have a ‘sub-ohm’ coil (a resistence below 1.0 ohms) to allow you to lung inhale.

What is a Ecig Tank/Atomizer/Clearomizer?

An Ecig tank is where you put your liquid. They come in various different sizes, presently maxing out at 2ml capacity in accordance with TPD regulations. Ecig tanks usually take coils and you can get different coils to suit your needs. Some people prefer a lower ohm coil to lung inhale, whereas mouth to lung users would smoke like a cigarette therefore you would go for a higher ohm coil – this is recommended for all our starters.

Are Ecigs dangerous?

If kept and used correctly an Ecig should never be dangerous, in our four years we have never seen anyone come under danger from our products. Electronic cigarettes are like all electronics and are very safe unless abused or modified incorrectly.
